Tim Hasker-Sarchet

I became a Christian as an adult and, over recent years, have become increasingly involved in the life of the Methodist Church through pastoral care, discipleship, worship and mission. I have recently joined the Circuit as a Local Lay Pastor and am excited to see where God will lead me in this new role. I have a particular passion for pastoral ministry and for finding new ways of helping people explore and experience Christian faith.

Before moving to Birmingham, I was involved in my church at Northampton where I ran a monthly brewing faith social group, served as a Street Pastor and volunteered on a soup run for people experiencing homelessness. More recently, I have established a small group in which people who are not Christians can come together to discuss faith in an informal and welcoming environment.

Outside church, I have a background in the corporate world and a longstanding interest in history, heritage and the communities in which I live. I am particularly interested in how the Church can build relationships beyond its traditional boundaries and create spaces where people feel welcome to ask questions about faith.
