The church project this year has been to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind. We had a successful Pancake morning earlier this year that brought people into our church building and helped raise money. We chose to have a summer fete outside the church building under the trees at the front, so the community could see the church being active and be involved if they wanted. The event was advertised locally by a leaflet drop. We had three large gazebos with bunting on. The weather was lovely, no rain and not too hot. Stalls ranged from handmade crafts, books, pocket money stall, cards, bric-a-brac, cake stalls, cream teas, guess the guide dog name plus a 50p stall in the church hall. We needed to put out more chairs and the cakes and cream teas soon ran out. The event was a great success in raising money for Guide Dogs for the Blind. People were able to socialise and get to know others within the community.
Our annual Christmas Fayre is planned for Saturday 30th November 2024 at 11am to 2pm so you can do your early Christmas shopping. Look out for a flyer through your door and postings on social media.
